Entrance Exams
Kindergarten - Observation Sessions
Observation sessions form part of the Admissions process for entering into Kindergarten at The British Schools. Kinder candidates will be observed in groups. Group will be selected, where possible, so that children are accompanied by their peers from their pre-school group. The observation session lasts approximately 40 minutes. The evaluation is not a diagnostic assessment of the candidate, but rather an opportunity to observe behaviours that each child should have reached at this stage of his/her personaldevelopment in order to benefit from the School’s kinder classes.
Preparatory
Prep candidates will be assessed in groups and individually. The group observation session lasts approximately 40 minutes. The evaluation is not a diagnostic assessment of the candidate, but rather an opportunity to observe behaviours that each child should have reached at this stage of his/her personal development in order to benefit from the School’s Prep classes. The second stage of the process consists of an individual assessment of the child’s level of maturity and basic competency in English.
