Taller de primeros auxilios de Y12 a Y8

Year 12 Medicine students, together with a group of IB Biology students, took part in a first aid workshop delivered by professionals from CEPRIE. It was a highly enriching experience that allowed them to put into practice knowledge developed in their human anatomy courses and apply it in real-life contexts through specific techniques such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of defibrillators.
The opportunity to imagine themselves facing critical situations, equipped with practical tools to respond, and even with the potential to save a life, was particularly motivating and empowering for the students.
As an extension of this experience, the Year 12 students organised a series of short workshops for Year 8, with the aim of sharing what they had learned. During these sessions, they successfully conveyed key concepts on how to act in emergency situations, including performing CPR manoeuvres. The initiative was received with great enthusiasm by the Year 8 students, who especially valued the opportunity to learn from their older peers, who serve as close role models and sources of inspiration.
