Y9 Camp: Building Bridges, Breaking Walls

The recent Year 9 camp was a truly enriching experience. Centred around the theme ‘Building Bridges, Breaking Walls,’ the programme was carefully designed to encourage reflection and personal growth.
Throughout the camp, students engaged in meaningful activities that promoted connection and dialogue — from guided reflection sessions to moments shared around the campfire. These experiences created a safe space for students to explore the importance of building relationships grounded in openness, trust, and mutual support.
Through a combination of cooperative games, team challenges, physical activities, and reflective discussions, students were invited to consider what might be holding them back in forming connections with others, and to explore strategies for opening up, taking initiative, and fostering new friendships.
We hope this experience was as thought-provoking as it was rewarding. As a school, we remain committed to nurturing empathy, strengthening social skills, and building bridges between students.
