On Monday, 12th June, Prep students celebrated Community Helpers Day at School as part of their Unit of Inquiry, under the transdisciplinary theme, “How we organise ourselves."
Senior students from Years 10 and 11 were invited to attend multiple panels of esteemed professionals who came to the School to share their experience as university students and workers.
Working on their second Unit of Inquiry “I feel good”, under the Central Idea “People can be creative and express themselves with different materials”, Year 1 students received the visit of Ms Acle, who showed them the way she reuses materials to be creative and express herself.
Once again, The British Schools community came together to support the Fundación Pérez Scremini in our annual Blue & Green campaign. On Friday 19th May there was a Non-uniform Day in which students were encouraged to come dressed in green and blue to show their support.
A group of 29 students from Y11 and Y12, together with three teachers (Ms Mariana Valdés, Mr Enrique Cederbaum and Mr Daniel Benzano), embarked on a tightly scheduled journey to visit the rich artistic cultural offerings of Buenos Aires.
As part of the Unit of Inquiry, "Who We Are", Year 5 students visited the Cathedral of The Most Holy Trinity and the New Israeli Congregation of Montevideo.
Book Week is an opportunity to celebrate children’s literature and promote the value of books for the education, enjoyment, and enlightenment of children. Across Junior and Senior, children, educators and families are invited to participate in Book Week between Tuesday, 23rd and Friday, 26th May.
Year 11 and Year 12 IB Geography students went to Ciudad Vieja for a day of fieldwork investigating land use patterns and exploring the importance of tourism in the Old City.
